Any insulation value in laminated replacement side window glass?

I was just on the phone with Glass Solutions who recommend the replacement of the double pane glass with laminated glass. The person on the phone said that the laminated offers 90% of the insulation value of the double pane over plain glass. I tend to be in very hot places and so I like insulation value, naturally. Could that be true?

Ask for manufacturers written specifications and compare to the original.

Your front windshield is laminated. Compare that to your double pain window and you will notice the difference.
I think you'll determine that double pane glass works substantially better.

And you won't have an clouding issue and better sound barrier. Double pain glass can act like a drum.
