I've been lusting after a VMSPC for a long time. I finally got the netbook and Ram mount on the dash and bought MS Streets and Trips yesterday. I'm currently at The Rally in Louisville and attended a Silverleaf seminar this morning. It was good info but I learned that they we not offering any sort of Rally special pricing and still want something like $499 for it. I guess they're protecting their dealers which is a good thing I guess.
RV Upgrades has it for $340. Has anyone come across a better price than this? I'm about to pull the trigger.

Rick:
Do they now have a true USB version? I bought their jib for my coach several years ago but, in spite of trying two different serial-to-USB adaptors, it never worked well on two lap tops I had. The software continued to lock up the PC's so I returned the jib to Silverleaf for a refund. I told them if they ever revised the software to work with USB set ups without adaptors, I would reconsider. When it worked, it was great.

Yeah, they made a big deal of the USB interface at the seminar I attended at The Rally.... they took some ribbing about the nightmare of the serial version which required you start this before that... stand on one foot.... face the east.....

I just bought from RV upgrades. Usb version. Worked great on W7 and used it for 2600 miles. I really like it and would recommend it. Won't leave home without it.
