Blue Ox Patriot Braking Question

Greetings all,

I have a Patriot braking system that I bought in 2014. I now use it with my new Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk behind my Jayco Greyhawk 29MV.

My last couple trips have been on some rougher pavement and I noticed that the braking system light comes on briefly when I hit bumps in the road.

I know the Patriot is a proportional force system, but is that "normal" or expected behavior? My sensitivity is set at 5 ... should that be changed?

Thanks!

Regards,

John B.

I've had the same experience. In fact, a couple of times when I've hit a really good bump, I'll get an E-8 code and I have to pull over and reset the system I had the wiring checked. Hopefully this fixed the problem. I talked with Blue Ox and was told to set minestrone 3 instead of 5. I'm pulling CR-V.

X2... I reduced the gain from 5 to 3 because of unnecessary braking by the Patriot. Also it was wearing down the brakes on our Jeep Liberty
