Camco Little Red Campfire

We will travel to a campground which doesn't allow open fires. I am looking for reviews of this propane campfire. Please let me know your experiences, and if any tricks need to be kept in mind.

Thanks

We have had one for 5 years now and love it. Propane costs can be very reasonable at 1/2 throttle, and the fire is very nice.

We picked up one last year and love it. I removed the restrictor in the brass junction and it makes the fire more realistic and a larger flame is another benefit. I also wrapped the vent hole with duct tape and it eliminates the whistling noise.

We use ours quite often and love it. its more for the effect than for the heat, and the little red goes well with our chocolate martini.

We bought the one from Costco. Larger(much) than the little red one. Very nice fire. It cost about $110 Cdn, so a little less in USD. Has a very good heat radius. It can run off a separate bottle, but we replaced the original hose/ regulator with just a hose and a quick connect which is plumbed into the rigs propane tank.

I like mine except that it stank like burnt paint for a while until it broke in (burned off the paint).
