I am curious if anyone has Carefree Sun Shades (rollup exterior shades for windows other than the windshield) and how effective you think they are in summer conditions.

Thanks

If you mean the pull down awning shades for the windows, then yes they are a great addition to a M/H. Provides alot of shade for inside the M/H, saves the back of the chairs and couch. Also great in a light rain. You can keep the windows open.

Having spent several years in the Southern Nevada sun -- including in the summer with the ambient temp can get over 110 regularly -- I can absolutely state that they do help a lot.

FYI -- for the windshield we use a foil cell material to reflect the light/heat from the inside and a windshield cover on the outside to reduce the amount of light that gets to the windshield -- another very big help in keeping temps down.
