I must say this is a dual Product Evaluation as well as it is a "Retailer" evaluation.

I have delayed my post until after Sacs found out about this purchase. It looked like Sacs would be joining me in the rig soon - and well - I did not feel Sacs should no internet while I am on-line moderating - so I took some of my "rewards points" from work to buy the CradlePoint MBR1000 from the 3Gstore.
First..I must say the staff at 3Gstore were unbelievable. I did call more than once -I had to do my homework on this since Sacs is more into this type of stuff than I am - but remember ....I am trying to surprise him! Every person there was very patient and answered any and all questions I had OR could have had.

The employees there probably thought I was nuts when I decided to go one step up and buy the MBR1000 from Cradlepoint...but it has a couple of extra features that I liked. I have been using this router with my Verizon USB720 and the Wilson Trucker Antenna since late September. It has worked flawlessly and the setup was a breeze!
WOO-HOOO!!!

OK... the Wilson Trucker antenna was purchased because of a "test" that Gonefishin' and Fishbum helped me perform. Our lot in Florence is in a spot that gives us no cell or internet. The "fish" couple have a Wilson Trucker antenna..and they brought their Trucker antenna to my lot to show me that it would help... They were right - so I also ordered the Trucker antenna. We know this works because we just had it in the front windshield - plugged into the router ...and we could get onto the internet for the first time while on the property!
We plan on looking into an install similar to this (thanks Tom N!) for a nice clean install.

So.. in closing - I would give 5 stars to all three -

3GStore
Cradlepoint MBR1000
Wilson Trucker Antenna[/list]Thanks 3G-Gang...I LOVE my setup!!!

I agree with you 100%, too!

We've purchased a Wilson antenna and amplifier along with the same Cradlepoint router and a Verizon USB727 modem from 3GStore. Their service was excellent and their tech help (which is actually here in the USA!) is great!

(We've used our Wilson antenna and amplifier A LOT as we've traveled!)

I have the Kyocera KR1 router, USB720, Wilson amp and Wilson Antenna as well. I have the whole setup installed in the corner of my bedroom. The antenna is installed with a tubing clamp on the top handle of the exterior ladder, and the router and amp are installed up side down on the bottom of the overhead cabinets. A small piece of velcro on the edge of the USB720 sticks it to the cabinet bottom and keeps it in place while driving, but allows me to easily remove it for occassional activation. I wired it all through a toggle switch so one click turns the whole system on or off.

I purchased most of the stuff from 3G as well. Great guys to work with.
