Desperately need Champion inverter generator maintenance help

OK, this is embarrassing.

I decided today to change out the sea level carbeurator jet for the high-altitude jet on my Champion 75537i 3100W inverter generator.

Apparently I disconnected some stuff as I was getting the carbeurator out and crazy as this seems, I can't figure out where a few things go.

I've got two clear fuel lines and for the life of me I can't find the nipples that they attach to:

Furthermore, there's this black box from which fuel drained out when I removed one side of the cabinet, so I presume it's a fuel filter?

As you can see, there's a plastic nipple at the bottom to which nothing is attached. Furthermore, one of the two hoses attached to the top heads back into the engine compartment and is attached to nothing:

I feel so stupid, but can someone please tell me where these fuel lines and hoses connect???

On my predater inverter generator there are two clear lines that just feed to the bottom. (They are not connected to anything at the bottom.)

I wonder if the canister can be a charcoal canister. You should be able to find the parts breakdown to help a little.

edit; found the manual. It does appear to be the charcoal canister.

good luck

Thanks, okcnewbie. Yep, those two clear fuel lines were confirmed by another forum yesterday to just hang there. Odd, and I couldn't figure out how I missed disconnecting them. Good to know that I wasn't losing my mind!

And for anyone who may find themselves in a similar predicament, the shorter of the two hoses coming off the top of the charcoal canister goes to a hole in the side of the air cleaner. The other goes to the top of the fuel tank. Apparently nothing attaches to the nipple at the bottom of the charcoal canister.

If you are ever in doubt call Champion's customer support center 7x24. Very helpful.

I agree. I've had a couple of interactions with them, as recently as last week.

Of course, I had this thing apart on a Sunday, when I couldn't call them, so I turned to the wisdom of the forum!

Edit: Wait...they're open 24/7?
