Dometic or Whirlpool Convection Oven?

Getting ready to replace my 07 Dometic Convection oven, showing the fatal error. Not sure to go again with Dometic or Whirlpool,
Good Sam ESP is picking up the tab. Any input appreciated.

we have a westinghouse conv oven in our MH .... i don't know the model number off hand but i can get it fir you. this is our first experience with a conv oven and we like it. the only problem is the door will not stay closed while driving. the dealer has replaced the unit for us but we still have to bungee the door closed while driving.

apparently we're not the only folks with this problem as the dealer is now telling me that Westinghouse has engineered a new door latch and is retro fitting all of their existing units and that all new units will have the new latch. fyi.

If you don't replace with same kind make sure you get one that has a in-wall kit available and that you buy both the conv oven and the wall kit for it. The current wall kit likely won't work with the replacement. In particular for a convection oven it needs the wall kit to keep from overheating and destroying itself or even worse catching the surrounding materials in your RV on fire.

If you go with the same brand there is a chance that the changes to new models are small enough that they still use the same wall kit and you won't have to rework anything, but chances are since 8 years has passed your current wall kit won't work with anything you can buy now.
