I've noticed that the new, 2011 Royals International come standard with a 2 burner glass top electric cooktop. Has anyone had any experience with these? I assume it is the 110 volt system.

It's usually 110. I don't have the glass top. But yes, generally, it's 110. Why don't you have it checked to get a second opinion.

I have the two burner glass top elect. Works fine...think it is a matter of if you like to cook on a elect cook top or gas. Yes 110. Also have to look at cleaning...easier to clean glass top as long as you are careful not to spill as you are cooking.

Try www.trueinduction.com 1 & 2 burner glass top induction cooktops that work on 120 V. watch their videos - 50% more efficent than gas (no waste heat & humidity from gas combustion to overload A/C) 20% more efficent than electric heating elements (heats the pot not the air)recessed or counter top mount avalable at Amazon-Sears etc.Less than $150 single --$300 dual-will not allow circuit breakers to tripp when both burners are in use - automatically reduces power in one burner.

We also got a 1 burner induction from camping world and my wife loves it. She hardly ever uses the gas range any more.

I have a Frigidaire Gallery 1 burner at home. You must use only compatible pans with it.
It is really fast cooking - very convenient.

Please don't start an eco-war, but if these are 120VAC were does the 120VAC come from?

When hooked up it comes from the power grid.

When dry camping, you will need to run the generator. Is running the generator more economic or green than burning propane?

Just questions.

I have only been staying at campgrounds so I have electric which is in the price to camp there so I fugure why use propane when when the electric is already paid for if I use it or not.

It is not an eco thing----since it is more efficent it cooks faster just like a Microwave Oven .I got rid of my lpg refer.when it wold not keep the Beer x-tra cold & started to leak highly combustable hydrogen gas refrigerant - I want to live a few more years & collect most of my Social Security I paid for.Life is too short now to live Off Grid.
