Hi folks, years ago I had a handy little flashlight that would expand into a lantern. It lasted a long time and when it finally died I didn't notice who made it. My wife recently bought two Colemans that did the same thing and they both quit already. Does anyone use one of these and what's it called. Thanks,Kel.

I've seen several portable lanterns recently that convert into flashlights by moving the bulb location inside the reflector, but offhand I don't recall brand names.

One suggestion would be to consider a LED variety as they LED's last indefinitly. The downside of LED's is that they are not always as bright, but they are durable if you've had problems with the lights failing.
