I don't own one yet. My MH has been in the shop for 6 weeks so I slowed down my spending. I don't see anything in the description about a switch and if it is anything like other acurite thermometers, then no it does not. It will not be hard wired to your MH and the batteries will last for a year or more so it should not matter if you leave it on. If you are concerned, just remove the batteries.
