Just installed Qwik-Fill on the 3 house batteries in my Vectra. It turns a frustrating and difficult job into a piece of cake!

Try my "quick-fill" battery filling system VS $100

Open battery compartment and remove all your caps

Place a gallon jug of distilled water on the compartment door above

your head..OOPS TAKE OFF THE CAP PLEASE.

place a 6' (abt 1/4 id vinyl tubing) thur handle and into jug ..start a syphion,(use your finger as your on-off controller....big word...)

fill batteries...small flashlight helps..

4 -6v batt abt 5 min if your slow..

TOTAL cost about $ 1.50

Take the lady out for 6 dinners with the savings

If you wana eat cut that to 3 dinners

Who knows what other dividens you may recieve on your INVESTMENT

Another plus for the Qwik-Fill is that even if you have easy access to all the battery caps (which I don't), you don't have to worry about dirt or debris from the top of the battery falling in the cells when you remove the caps (since you don't have to remove them).

I dust off the batteries (and a lot of other things) with my high pressure air line whenever I have it out to add air to the tires. Also, whenever I wash the rig I hose off the batteries and blow thm off with the high pressure air.

This is one of several posts I 've read recently talking about battery filling systems. Our 2001 Adventurer 32V came with all maintenance free batteries. Was that something done only for a few years, or on just a few models?
I replaced the house batteries last year and plan to replace the starting battery this year. Why do some people prefer batteries that need periodic maintenance as opposed to those that require none?

I only hook up one line to bottle of distilled water to fall 4 batteries at once without removing caps...
You can't buy (except AGM) sealed batteries that will take the amount of charge/heavy discharge as the large 6 v batteries, that's what they were designed for. If you only need small battery then the auto size can be bought cheaply. I enjoy nearly 500 amps battery capacity from my 4 6v (U2200) batteries and 500 watts of solar power feeding into Outback MPPT controller and then into Magnum 200 watt inverter with 3 stage charger. Just my opinion, I'm sure a more knowledgeable person will respond.

I just put the Quik Fill battery system on my three batteries. It was easy to install. The coach battery was a little difficult to push the new caps on as I assume the holes were slightly smaller than the holes in the house batteries. My batteries were freshly charged. I thought my batteries were filled to the top but after installing the Quik Fill System I was able to put some water into each battery. I'll see how it works. So far I'm thainking about buying one more for my boat. My price from Camping World was $75.00 for three batteries.
