I just replaced my batwing antenna head, with the Jack Oa-8000 antenna replacement head.We Were receiving about 8-10 channels thats on good day and rotating antenna. Now were getting 28 channels by just putting the antenna up! The ease of installation and the cost, $43.15 Amazon.com +free shipping, make it a great upgrade!!

any reason you went with this version of the Jack. I am looking at the Jack model that replaces the entire batwing, my big concern is the 12 inches it sticks up at all times. lower than other items on the roof, but it looks breakable.

Bob: I didn't see the need to replace the whole antenna system, I looked at the other unit and it look like a lot of work compared to the replacement head.

it did have the Sure Lock digital finder built into it, which makes up for the price difference

I don't know about this. The Amazon description said:

CHOKING HAZARD -- Small parts. Not for children under 3 yrs.

I certainly wouldn't want a 3 year old choking on it while playing up on the roof!

Hey, what can I say! After all it is a Jack in a Box?
