Installed EezTire today

On our new to us 2001 Bounder... Install went great, got to test out my bottle Jack and torque wrench...

Super glad I did it too... Rear wheel lugnuts were a bit loose, definitely not 150 ft lbs... But the kicker was one of the inside duals was at 25 psi!!!! I'm hoping that both tires on that side are still ok. I did check the spare and it's pressure is where it needs to be and is the same age as the rest (just coming up on 5 years)

So a question... Do you guys that have spare tires buy an extra transmitter to monitor the spare? Seems like it might not be a bad idea???

Glad your happy with the product .
Is the 150 Ftlbs the spec from the chassis manufacturer ?
Lug nuts should be re-torqued in 100 miles , duals will loosen more than the front.

Ford says 145lbs in their fleet info chart for my chassis

https://www.fleet.ford.com/truckbbas...l/2001/310.pdf

my torque wrench numbers are hard to read other than the 0 detent, so I just went to 150... can't see that 5ft lbs is going to make a huge difference.

and yes, agree that the nuts need to be retorqued and checked...

I recently put them on my TT and bought an extra sensor for the spare. My only regret is that I didn't get one for the TV spare also. Then I wouldn't have to crawl under the truck to check it.

We didn't get a transmitter for the toad. If/when I need a spare tire, I will check the pressure prior to install. If low, then I will air up with on board compressor. I do periodically check the spare pressure as well, but except for gradual air loss, the spare should not need anything more than a top off, if that, when needed.

Since I have the capability to air the spare up prior to use, I'm not worried about it being low until/unless it is used. At that point I will put the transmitter from the tire I removed onto the spare.
