I'm very particular about the appearance of my RV. I never leave home with a dirty coach, and I always keep it covered when it's not in use. Because I'm so anal about the coach's paint, I spend a lot of time washing and polishing. As all of you know, this can be a lot of work, so I am always looking for something to help me cut the amount of work needed.

It takes a lot for me to endorse a product. So many of them fail to do as claimed, or the results fade rapidly. There are two products below that I would like to wholeheartedly endorse however. I don't own stock in either one, I merely have tested them both over time, and have found their results to be excellent.

CRSpotless: This is a spotless water system that I use when washing / rinsing my RV. It works better than a chamois, and allows me to wash my rig in full sunshine, by myself, without any fear whatsoever of water spotting. Even the hottest summer day will yield zero water spots. It works better than advertised, and I will never wash my RV again without it. I purchased the unit in December of ˜06, and I haven't had to change the filter element yet. The only downside is that the original purchase is costly. I hesitated for a while, and continued to use my Mr. Clean spotless nozzle, but it seemed that the filter would rarely last more than one RV washing. A big benefit of the CRSpotless system is that the larger DIC-20 unit can be used in conjunction with a pressure washer. The system I purchased retails for $449 at CRSpotless.com. I found it for $429 with free shipping at Amazon.com. It was dropped shipped directly from the factory, and there is no sales tax at Amazon.com, even if you are a California resident, even though the systems are made in San Diego.

Super Gloss Ultimate RV Polish: I have been using a polymer polish product called "Rod & Custom" on my classic car for several years, with great results. They also make a product for RV's called Super Gloss Ultimate. I've used the RV polish on two types of finishes, gel coat and painted surfaces. While it does help protect gel coat finishes, it work much better on painted surfaces. It creates a high gloss "wet look" finish, and remains for a very long time. It goes on easily, and comes off with minimal effort (the manufacturer recommends applying the polish and buffing it in until a haze develops, and them wiping it off. You can apply it in this manner, or you can apply it like any other car polish. Either method will give great results). While the manufacturer claims the results will last a year, I've found that twice a year is more realistic. The polish retails for $19 a bottle. While this too seems high, you use very little of the product when polishing. One bottle usually lasts me about two years, or 4-5 polish jobs. The polish vendor that I use is Highway Shine.

I realize that both of these products are expensive, but I've found them both to work extremely well, and in my humble opinion they are well worth the money. Again, I am sharing this product information with you solely for the purpose of hoping that a few may experience the rewards that I have. That is my only reward. Happy polishing!

Craig,

Thanks for posting the excellant product reviews. I've been looking for a way to keep from getting those water spots.

I had been looking at the CRSpotless system from RVUpgrades, but hadn't bought yet because of the price. If it's as good as you say, I think it's be a wise investment. They offer the unit with the cart for $429 also and the wall mount version for $379 with free shipping if you don't need the cart.

Thanks Joe. I went with the cart model as I move it between the RV pad next to my house and the driveway where I use it on my old car. I have to be careful though because I tugged on the hose too hard the first time I used it, and pulled the whole thing over. It didn't suffer any damage, but it sure scared the heck out of me! If you don't intend to move it around, the wall mount may be safer to use.

I didn't realize RVUpgrades sold these units. Had I known, I would have much rather given them my business as opposed to Amazon. I also see that the refill kits from them are $10 less than if I ordered directly from the manufacturer. I'll keep that in mind when I need a refill. Thanks again!

Craig I am like you and have to wash the rig before every outing. I also use the cart mounted version and like you said it does a amazing job of giving a spotless finish.

I'll have to check out that wax.

Bill

I have been using the CRSpotless unit for about one year, air dry and no spots . I wash the MH in the morning let drip dry and start waxing in 3-4 hours when dry .
