Laser Light projector at the Tampa RV Show

Help!
Did you attend the Tampa RV Supershow in January?
In the first building, there was a vendor selling a small laser light projector.
We've misplaced our SuperShow brochure and although I've done some Google searches, I can't find the vendor.
If you know the vendor or bought one of the laser projectors, please let me know!
Thanks in advance.

Can't help you with the Tampa show , but , I was at a large flea market in Ft Meyers recently and there were 4 vendors selling neat laser projectors . Prices started at
39.95 and went up to about 79.95 depending on features .
Point being ,try a large flea market in your area as the laser stuff seems to be getting popular

Just remember to make sure that no part of the laser display goes off into space. If you are near any flight paths it could be a problem.

I purchased one for my Wife for Christmas online. It does state that it is low enough power and the energy is refocused into thousands of smaller lights, that it does not pose a serious aviation risk.

Those things are really neat.

We shine it on trees and it looks like thousands of fireflys.

We had one that projected stars on the house and looked very good until it decided to walk off. I'll fix the next on I buy so it can't walk.

Speaking with first hand experience, I would say beware of the cheap mini projectors sold at the RV show if they are like the ones below. I bought 2 $40/ea from EEZ RV Products at the FMCA-Madison Rally. Those are NOT outdoor friendly. They will dim considerably if the outside temperature dips below 70-degrees. Also, the instructions state they should not be run continuously for more than a couple hours. After that, it seems the motor that rotates through the starlight patterns needs to "cool down". I did not do my due diligence & didn't know any of this stuff before I bought mine. They will work fine indoors, in warm temperatures & for short times.

I had one of the 2 quit after just 1 hour & did have some issues with the vendor trying to get a replacement - but that's another story.

If you want an outdoor-rated, well made unit, look for ones with metal housings & if using in winter conditions, ones that have built in heaters to prevent ice up. Those you will pay $125/ea & upwards for. They're shaped more like a stake-in spot light.

And, as previously mentioned, do NOT aim them upwards where the beams can go into space or you will be having a visit from the local law enforcement & possibly the TSA.

Tom,
The one we saw at Tampa...well, you set it outside of your RV on the ground, plug it in (120-volt I think), and it projects different designs on the side of your RV. Kinda cool.
I "think" the one we saw was a little box, about the size of a child's shoe box with different lenses you could inset to project different designs.
The vendor with these at Tampa was in Supplier Building "A."

I looked into becoming a dealer for EEZ, but the buy in was more than I wanted to spend plus looking at the products.... Well I was less than impressed.

Mr D and NLOVNIT,
You guys nailed it...it was at the EEZ RV Products booth.
I found their website, but couldn't find the projector.
However after reading about your experiences, I don't think it would be a wise purchase.
Thanks to all.

Wise decision. Also, the next day, friends of ours at the same rally bought the same projectors @ 2 for $65. Obviously the price was negotiable!

There are many "Laser" projectors.. One is the one that projects a field of Stars,, You can find it at many "As Seen On TV" sections of many stores... I felt it was overpriced.

Some project various designs and such... Alas, I've never seen them for outdoor use save for commercial models with comma(s) in the price tag.

Lori,
The blue projector that you posted a picture of...is that a recommendation or "stay away from this one?"
