We use the LED strip lights that we get from Amazon 16 ft. (with 3M tape on them) come complete with transformer and wireless remote you can have them change colors and flash fade or go on strobe mode plus dim them right down. we have them mounted on the top of the trim pieces on our slides and they give us all the light we need while watching TV at night. they cost approx $30.00

OP Update

While this was a good idea, there is a caveat. The batteries run down too soon and I believe it is because they are wireless and the receiver is always "looking" for a signal. When not using the MH for a while I pull 1 battery out of each light.

I wasn't expecting this. I like the suggestion to use 110v or 12v LED strip lighting if wiring isn't a problem.

So I've since replaced all of my interior lights bulbs with 48 led panels, so these really aren't needed inside anymore. So I'm moving them down to the basement so I don't need to turn on the power robbers down there when dry camping.
