MaxxFan

I have a problem with a MaxxFan. After it was first installed it would try to keep opening the lid when it was fully open and it would be bouncing. Sent email to Maxx air about this "no response". On my way to Arizona last month the vent was closed and started bouncing up and down again, only now it wouldn't stay closed. Had to use plastic ties through the lid frame to keep it closed. Sent MaxxAir an email, again no response. Has anyone else had trouble with this vent and where can you get parts. Can't seem to get info off their website. Is this unit a piece of garbage and should I be replacing it with another brand like Fan-tastic or did I get a lemon. I also have a fantastic in my motorhome which is already 10 years old and has never given any trouble.

"Frustrated with MaxxAir", had trouble with another of their products 12 or so years ago.
