Jerry,

I have seen a couple of these on the road:

This could be functional on the Suburban or the back of a camper.

Our BMW's have a shaft drive which should not be towed. Thanks for the suggestion.

I will most likely buy the Hydralift and rent a uhaul 1 way when just traveling with the Suburban. Last time I tried to rent a uhaul I ended up buying a 12' open trailer. My trailer works until I need to pull a toad. Most states do not allow doubles.

By the way, (Rusty), when I am done with off road adventure riding, the GT will be my next bike.

This looks like a nice quality set up that would add very little weight to the towing vehicle. Easy to back up too.
Can you post a link of who makes this?

I believe whomever earlier was talking about the stress on the rear of the 5er frame and all the added weight of the bike back there did not take a good look at the picture. There is very little weight on the 5er frame as most of the weight is carried on the two swivel wheels under the trailer/platform. It attaches at two points to the tow and in such a manner to have some flex (the one I saw had a heavy coil spring) to allow for change in road surface.
I would consider one of these puppies if I could find one locally. "Who made it?" - don't have a clue.

If you're referring to my earlier post, you must have missed the following:

There are at least three factors to consider if looking at a motorcycle lift that supports the weight of the motorcycle and the lift itself off the back of the 5th wheel frame: </div></BLOCKQUOTE>
My post specifically referred to an overhung carrier, not a dolly-type carrier, although some of the admonitions would still apply.

Another option is to carry your bike in the back of a pickup. They make a number of nice lifts that mount in the pickup bed.

Unfortunately, not an option for those of us who tow a 5th wheel.
