Wetdog,

I installed the MP-8 a year ago. It is everything it is cracked up to be.

Go to the Cat Engine area of the Power Train Garage section of this forum, and you'll find a thread titled "MP-8 Setting, 30% or 15%". In there you'll see a lengthy current discussion of the MP-8.

I installed about 15,000 miles ago along with the 5050XL muffler. only run unit at 15%. Good improvement in performance and also fuel economy. Average speed 62MPH or less increased from about 6.2 to 8.2 under similar conditions. As previous post check "Powertrain Garage" for additional opinions

Most Cummins owners I know go with a Banks system. I would too, but Banks doesn't manufacture anything for the Cat engine. Post this question in the Cummins area of the Power Train Garage section, and I'm sure you'll get some help.

Iwasouth,

I just ordered the Aero 5050XL. How do you like yours? Do you find it loud?

My wife describes it as "throaty" and it is louder but not obnoxious.

Craig , I have The MP-8 and a 5050XL on my C7 350 and it is a little louder than the trash can but sure runs better. It always sounded constipated before.

So in other words, I will no longer be obnoxious or constipated with the Aero muffler? I'm in!
