Seems imo, that quite a number here and elsewhere are finding a number of issues with the RM 7710.
So what has been the experience of those that have the Magellan Roadmate Pro 9165T? Is it as problematic as the RM?

Odd that the RM test does not seem to reflect the experiences of some that have commented here.

I have a 9165t and I find overall, it is a great gps system. On one trip, I got the wrong directions, but besides that, I love it. I especially like the feature where it will find rv parks in your current location or near any city. I also like the feature where you press go and it will route you to the rv park or poi. Saves lots of fussing with SWMBO.

Magellan has just announced a new GPS for RVs - RV9145. It is not available yet, but the specs look good. I was going to buy a 7710, but decided to wait because of all of the complaints about visibility of the display in bright sun.

Are you able to see it in sunlight without the dreaded glare problem?

They have not tested the RM7710 or at least it's not being listed as being tested.
We already have 2 Garmins that are not for truckers or rv's, meaning we cannot put in the height and stuff to make sure about bridges and things. We looked at what we want it to do and we will be getting the Garmin Dezl 560 with the lifetime maps. For us it was a toss up between that or the newer PC Miller. But that us and what we were looking to do with the GPS.
