WOW!!! Wait till you see the new "Drainmaster" System! They use the same type of connectors that tanker trucks use to deliver gasoline - and they don't leak!!!!
Saw Gary Bunzer do a video on them and wow... just installed! Required a little bit of configuring because you actually ABS Glue their connector onto your waste gate "Y" pipe. That connector pipe has a "Cam Lock" as part of it. When you plug in their special hose, with a matching "cam lock", it SEALS and will not leak. Plus, the hose has the "Slinky" on the outside of it so it's a smooth hose inside so therefore no residue and smell creeping into your RV.
We had the typical slinky hose, then went to the Macerator system and it STUNK!!!! When I went to change the valves (maintenance) they were both full of sludge.... big time!!!!! The macerator was always run till "empty" and never felt there was a problem until I took the valves out and saw all the sludge.... the systems are really designed to flow quickly out. The problem has always been the old style slinkys leak and collapse, etc. The new DrainMaster system is finally putting the best of everything into the original design of quick flow exits! Plus, the elbow at the end of the 20' pipe has a very sturdy shut off valve....
It really is worth looking at..... like I said, we had a macerator-supposedly next best thing........ no way.... Drainmaster is on the right path!
