I installed a Winegard & wingman today on my rig. I didn't get on the roof either. I cranked the antenna up-rotated it toward the RS of the mo/ho. I then cranked it down; placed the ladder along side the antenna- pulled the antenna wire cover off and removed the lead wire. I then pulled the "clips" - removed both pins off the tubing & down the ladder I went. I'm afraid to get on my roof. Put the new parts together- up the ladder & put it all back in place. Job done. The Wingman is as good as described.

I added one on the '88 winnie I had and it worked fine. Easy to install. When I got my new to me Hurricane I bought one for it only to find that it would not fit due to the placement of the antenna in relation to the AC unit. So my point is to make sure you have clearance for one before you get one.
