I love this thing- I paid a lot ($200.00) for 2 sections, but I think it's worth it. No leaks, easier to put together, lighter, easier to store and no metal wire in it...just a great product!

Nice setup... Another option for not much more money is a macerator pump with a 1" hose...A lot easier to handle..I've had one for 5 years and wouldn"t be without it...

I second the opinion about the polychute/wastemaster drain hose and hook up. It definitely works as advertised, a well designed simple system. It is a bit pricey but it works as advertised and there really is nothing to go wrong with it, the "K.I.S.S." theory works for me. I have heard of some horror stories of macerators "locking up" and having to deal with that mess. I'm gonna stick with this for now and not fix it until its broken. The other nice thing is you can empty your tank in about 2 minutes sa-weet!

Whatever works for you...There are advantages and disadvantages to both....One of the reasons I opted for the macerator is I can pump up to 100 ft into my house septic if need be....And that 1" hose... sa-weet...

Do you have anything to do with that company....Still looks like a stinky slinky on steroids for 200 bucks...

movin-on,

Not just an expensive hose- I have tried them all, and it's great.

I have nothing at all to do with the company other than being a satisfied customer! I did not put up the first post someone else did I just responded to it.
We are a young family and this is our first RV, a tiffin allegro RED. I did extensive research before buying "the $200 stinky slinky" and found multiple posts and poor ratings of macerator type hook ups. It can be a real problem and mess if they bind up. Having a wife and daughter with long hair I choose to avoid that possibility as it seems that hair is the most common cause of failure. The bayonet fittings seem to be a real common cause of problems as well, hence the $200 stinky slinky.

Like I said, whatever works for you...I paid $239.00 not 500.00 for my macerator which has worked flawlessly for over 5 years and has a specific purpose for me...I know some day it won't and I am prepared for that as it is a portable unit but I would buy another in a heartbeat...

Waco Kid,

With one extention- my hose is 30'. It was $250.00 total for both, and where I camp, I have to use the extention all the time....it has never leaked and with the "donut" at the other end- no screwing-in of adapters, you just push it into the sewer connection. Again, if you want to see it work, juat go to the link in my first post.

Drew

The video addresses the 'errant weed wacker' and says it will not be harmed. I would guess that since each hose is registered to an owner, it would be replaced if torn...?

I don't think I want to give up my Sewer Solution for something like that. It looks like the cleanout problems (for the hose) will still be the same as the slinkey and it appears to tale up a lot of space
