After blowing two tires on the fiver I got a Pressure Pro. I put two sensors on the rear wheels of my 2500 Chevy and four on the fiver. On our way to an IRV2 rally in Tenn. I got a alarm going through Raleigh. I pulled over and when I got stopped it was reading 23 lbs. in the right rear tire. By the time I got out and to the tire it was flat. I called AAA and within 20 min. a fellow was there. He pumped the tire back up with his compressor and saw that it was leaking around the valve stem. I followed him to Sears Auto Center and got a new stem and continued on our way to the rally, with no more trouble the rest of the way. This was our first tow with the new truck and when we left New Bern our tire pressure was 80 psi. I may get reembursed from GM, just hanen't been back to the dealer to turn the bill in yet. I think the product was well worth the money. It is a little expensive but so is damage to the fiver and I could have wrecked the truck.

One thing with the pressure pro is to be sure you have steel stems, the rubber ones dont hold up to them.

It was a steel value stem on the truck and it still failed.

Tom, we have had Pressure Pro for 4 years.
(I think) , we pre oredered them before they came out. What we found is that you have to hold the tire stem with a plyers as you screw the sensor on, to keep from damaging the stem. We would not be without them.

Well our Pressure Pro saved us again a couple of days ago.
We were headed east on US 87 through New Mexico when the alarm went off indicating an inside dual on the truck was going down fast. We managed to get pulled over into an approach before it went to zero.
Now how Good Sam Roadside assistance performed is another story.

I would be interested to know how the GS Roadside assistance performed. We have it but have never had the occasion to use it.Knock on Wood.

Great to hear the positive outcome as a result of having the Pressure Pro system. Having an advance warning of the tire going down was fortunate and gave you time to get off the highway. Thanks for relating the story.
Now I'm also curious on what happend with Good Sam.

The issue with GS Emergency Road Service was their total lack of understanding of anything related to RV's. No idea what a freightliner was, and wanted to know who made it!
They were only able to locate one tire shop who could help by ordering a tire and he was 130 miles away.
Since it was an inside dual I backtracked 2 miles to a great little campsite in Capulin NM.
When I explained my problem to the owner he could not understand why GS wanted to deal with a tire shop 130 miles away when there was a big tire shop with truck tires 29 miles the other way. I called the other tire shop and made my own arrangements, then called GS and had them contact them with and arrange payment.
I spent 2 hours sitting on the road waiting for them to call me with the useless information. I have had GS for 11 years, used it one other time and they were much more on the ball at that time.

Yesterday, I had to take the wife's car in for a problem and the dealer gave me the $30 for the tire repair. So other than a little time the flat coast me nothing. I don't know if you noticed but I now have AAA due to poor service in Atlanta with GS. I just wish they would stop sending mail for me to sign up for the roadside service.
