Product Review - GelGloss

[/IMG]I purchased a gallon of Gel-Gloss Heavy Duty RV Wash & Wax manufactured by TR Industries last year from Camping World.

This junk has got to be the worst wash and wax I have ever used. It will not remove even 'soft' surface dirt, and leaves severe spots/streaks. When I say soft, the kind that you can gently remove with a dry towel, etc. This stuff is terrible.

I contacted the company to inquire if there is a money back guarantee on this product.

Just giving you a heads up.

Are you actually washing with it, or just rinse with it? If dirt comes off with a soft dry towel I can't see how this is not working. I use this with a wash mitt on a pole. Works great.

Washing with it. I mix with hot water and use a soft bristle brush. Even on areas where I use a wash mitt, it doesn't clean properly. Switching to Blue Coral.

I also invested in a Mary Moppins lambswool and pad holder kit. It's great for just flat surfaces, but with all the protrusions (slides etc) it's next to useless.

Live and learn. $$$$$

I've been using this Gel-Gloss for about 2-years on 2011 Class A with full body paint with excellent results. Was recommended by an older gent who had a gleaming coach in the spot next to us at a TN campground. Based upon my experience and the experience of others who have replied to you, there is a disconnect somewhere. It sounds like you are doing everything right, which of course leaves the product as defective. A thought: I have on occasion used a rag, brush or mitt to wash a car that was last used (a week or more previously) with a petroleum-based cleaner. When re-used with a non-petroleum synthetic cleaner, I find it "kills" the suds and greatly reduces the cleaning ability of the product in the bucket. Almost feels like I'm washing with oily water. Just a thought. Best Wishes!

Agree with FancyFree. Have used this product for years on TT, 5er and MH.
Also on autos. Has always done a great job and results look good for long time.
Had a MH for 15 years and got comments about how good it looked and how often did I wax it (hardly ever).
I also used warm (not hot) water, got lots of suds and everything always rinsed clean.
