I agree Denali, Progressive Industries has outstanding customer service and technical support. I do technical writing and contact a lot of vendors. PI is at the top of my list! Another firm with equal service is SeeLevel gages manufactured by Garnet Instruments.

I have the 50 amp installed. It works super and shut down several times last summer due to low voltage- below 110v. I don't have a remote mounted, and really don't miss it.
The low voltage was due to a corroded master circuit breaker panel on a telephone pole , 3 RV units away from me.
I would just go out to my bay and see a fault indication on the unit. It has to have power turned off to reset it.

Mine is located in the bedroom cabinet where the washer/dryer was mounted.

If you have not commited yourself to a hard wired unit, you might consider the portable. I had to return mine under warrantee-which would have been harder to do if it had been screwed down and wired in. Also, you'll always see the display when you hook up, and who knows, maybe you'll want to use it somewhere else or in a different rv some day. Finally- you can lock it to the pedestal or in your utility bay. Just my two cents.

Great customer service!

Interesting !!!
What was their advice? How do you calibrate this?

Here is the email I received from Progressive. I followed their instructions, except I did not use the genset for comparison. I simply used my volt meter.

Yes, it can be adjusted. The power there is very poor in quality and it you have a gen. set I would like you to us that power to set the voltage. First you will need to turn the power off, then remove the EMS lid, and on the edge of the electronic board you will see two blue squares with a silver screw in the middle of each, that screw is what does the adjustment, turn it counter clock wise will lower the voltage[ start by turning them 1/4 turn at a time, now you must do this without a load on the power so turn your main breaker off inside of your RV. Now if you have a motorhome then we will use your gen. set to supply the power while we do this. Take your power cord and put a adapter on the end of it to bring it down to a 15 amp plug, then plug it into your RV a/c plug anywhere you have A/C power with the gen. running, plug into it and start your gen. set and you will have good power.
