My Prompt RV Sunscreen for my '02 Southwind's windshield arrived today. No ladder necessary to install and they fit well.... very tight and no sag. No suction cups just two tension straps with clips. They look great! Would like to say thank you to Bill Rex the owner of Prompt RV Sunscreen's for his quick reply to my emails asking questions. Speaking about quick, I ordered last Thursday and they arrived at my door today, Monday. In closing I will post back here in a few months in regard to how the screen performs. I expect my future post will be as positive as this one. If you are looking for a sunscreen consider the Prompt RV Sunscreen .

I actually removed the rubber protector from my metal clips and dipped the clips in the liquid plastic used for hand tool handles (like pliers). It's hard to install the sunscreen without the clips hitting the coach. Now that I have them dipped, it's no longer an issue. I did the same on the sunscreen clips for my previous coach and they held up great through all kinds of weather. My belief is they should come this way, but it just a small detail.
As for installing the on the MH, it's just about as easy as it gets.

They sure are a nice screen and ours now are almost 5 years old now and no sign of any thread breakdown or fading..solid as a rock! Beats drilling holes and climbing a ladder!

The dip is available at most any hardware store, got mine at ACE. I dipped the clips in the plastic 3 times. First dip was about 3/4", second a 1/4" deeper, and a 1/4" for the third. Knock off the excess with each dip so drips done harden. It'll look factory.

I offered to GIVE my almost new complete set of Prompt RV sunscreens away for FREE that I had bought for my 06 Winnebago Voyage (fits Adventurer, Voyage and Sightseer)and I only had one request for them. I never liked them. Yeah, the front windshield cover was tight, but you could never get the side windows tight, and they sagged.....Every complete set of Prompts I have seen have the sagging side window covers. The installation was not that easy either...
I ended up installing Sunguard Sunscreens and couldn't be happier. These things are as tight as you can stretch them, have a much thicker and better UV protection than the Prompts(94% vs. 80%), and I can install these much faster than I could with the Prompts...and that includes getting out my STEPLADDER...lol
Its the same philosphy as using caulk or eternabond....You can do it right, or you can do it the fast way....Just my opinion, and unfortunately, it was an expensive lesson.
Check out the Prompt VS. Sunguard Sunscreen thread where there are some good pictures of TomN's rig with the Sunguards....nice tight fit with no side sags...

I was also concerned with the way the side screens attached, so I didn't order them. The front windshield screen works great. Easy on, easy off. Will not ever return to the windshield snap-on version.
However, I will eventually get a set of snap-ons for the sides, but I'll only install them when absolutely necessary or when we are sitting in one spot for 2 weeks or longer. So far we have not really missed the side screens.
Since the windshield goes on so much easier, it gets used often. The snap-on set that I had for the previous motorhome more often than not stayed in the basement.

Also on the Prompt, what you see when you look out the side windows is the horrible rubber straps that holds the front windshield cover on....very unsightly.
I can install my nice tight Sunguards faster than I could my suction cup/rubber strap Prompts......and they are built with better material, and look better to boot!!!

Now hold on thar Baba Louie! It's no where near that bad in fact the straps become largely un-noticed when in use. The ease of attachment and removal without one's feet leaving the ground IMHO beats any snap on argument.
When setup properly the Prompt works very well and it's an intelligent solution that took but one man to realize how good the system is and works ergo the "patent".
See me in Brooksville, FL at the SE FMCA Rally in February for your Prompt RV Sunscreen discount.
I'll take ya over and introduce you to Bill Rex. Like last year and the year before that he should be the next coach up from me in the outside vendor row on the taxiway.

Ya think? I prefer not to look out the front side windows with the annoying strap in middle of the windows.....on BOTH side windows....it's tacky looking.
Thanks for the invite, but I gave my Prompts away, and don't think they have a fix for the sagging side window issue or the tacky rubber straps anyway. It comes down to looks or convenience...I prefer looks AND convenience...hence the Sunguards ...

Agreed, the straps become largely un-noticed when in use. Personally, I would rather have a strap then multiple snaps gleening in the sun even when the sunscreen was not attached.
If a mere strap annoyed me, well.....
Anyway, I do have the Prompt RV Sunscreen for the front windshield ( I passed on side window screens because of bad fit reports here and on other forums)and Bill Rex did send me a complimentary storage bag for same when I mentioned I was a regular on iRV2.com forum. Thank you, Bill Rex.

I have been dealing with company for 8 yrs. Its a good product with excellent customer support. I can install it on the front windows in 30 seconds without climbing on anything. it always looks good nice and snug not like others that loossen up and sag, it can be tightened or loosened for expansion or contraction in any weather.
