Question Replacement Awning Motor

Does anyone know where i can purchase a replacement awning motor online? It appears the existing motor (Dometic Part Number 3109581.003 REV E) is obsolete. I am not having any luck finding a replacement motor part number. I certainly dont want to spend $500 at the dealer on this silly little thing. Thanks in advance!

I had to replace mine on my 2007 KSDP and it cost me $600 for the motor, plus install for a total of about $800. I did a burn on that price, but was getting ready for a long trip, and did not have time to shop around.

I would think the manufacturer would be able to tell you the make and model of the motor. They don't make their own motors, so they must know who supplied them.

I wouldn't take a chance on a cheap substitute until I first tried to get an original.

Try an auto parts store. Apparently the awning motor is exactly the same as the electric motor for window's in car doors. Might have some luck there.
