At the recent iRV2 rally, some awning Rollumups were given away as prizes by RVUpgrades and I heard some folks also see them on our motorhome and comment about them. I thought I'd post some pictures so others could see how they work

The Rollumup awning light holders are Velcro strips with an awning tube tab built into one end. They are used by inserting them into the awning tube channel and then using the Velcro strip to fasten the awning lights to the awning tube.

I always used to hang my patio awning lights by the little plastic slide in tabs and S hooks into the awning when we camped. The tabs need to be removed each time I rolled up the awning, and I was forever dropping and losing the tabs or the S-hooks. I also didn't care for the way that my rope lights were held right up against the awning roller tube the light from the tube lights was blocked from going out into my campsite.

When I first saw the new awning light holders I liked them as they are very thin, and do not have an eyelet in them which allows them to be rolled right up in the awning for storage. Since the light holders do not use S-hooks, there is nothing to remove and get lost when hanging lights. The tabs are also around 10 inches long and can be used to hang the lights a distance below the awning tube so they show beneath the awning flap. Since the tabs are Velcro, they also are useful for hanging signs or decorations beneath the awning. We started hanging our sign with out name on it from the awning using the straps.

Neat little accessory. I give it a thumbs up

I agree, Joe. I can hang the rope lights in a fraction of the time it took messing around with the S hooks. And I feel comfortable leaving them on the roller tube and winding them up with the awning. The leave little to no marks in the awning fabric.

Nice pics and nice write-up, Joe.
-But wow, what a great looking campground (I couldn't help but notice). At first I thought it's gotta be a state park, but then I saw the landscaping in pic #2. Where is that?

We've got 'em, too. The s-hooks & tabs were such a pain. Like Joe, I kept dropping the hooks. These velcro straps work much better.

The camground is Kalyumet Campground We really like the place and usually get in 1 or 2 trips a year there. I just posted a Campground Review in the review section with a couple more pictures of the place.
