[QUOTE=Nalle;4267500]That's the way to go. I have been using basic Sygic for a couple of years now. Most or all Samsung Tablets have a built in GPS receiver. I have downloaded all of US and Canada maps. Always works. Phone signal or not. Only problem I have had is loading all the maps on a Micro SD card. Sygic has a tendency to crash with the maps on the SD card. Runs good if maps are in system memory.

Nalle, thanks for the post. Confirms my research and seems like the people who use Sypic like it. Guessing the company doesn't spend lots of time and money to promote it.

Just one word of caution... I find Sygic hard to create a long trip with stops and overnights. Therefore I still use the old Street Atlas to plan out a multi day trip. Street Atlas runs on a small Windows Laptop together with the Silverleaf Diesel Engine Monitor. On the side I have the Samsung Tablet with Sygic. Before take off in the morning I plug in the days trip. Sygic is very good for turns, speed limits and also gives you lane info for exits, etc.

The RV Version of ALK CoPilot is definitely set for RVs and runs on Android and IOS devices.

I use a 10" Samsung Tablet and with the software, I am still well below the cost of an RV Garmin.
