I recently installed an RV Sure Step that I received as a Christmas gift. I initially thought this was another useless doo-dad but is an excellent safety addition to any RV. It is a small light bar that attached to the front of the step, powered by 6 AA cells and actuated after dark by either of two motion sensors located facing up and facing front. It lights up the front step and you can tell exactly where it is when you walk up to the RV. The literature says the batteries will last a full season. RV Sure Step

Tim...I got to look at these at an RV show and was pretty close to buying one. I thought I would think about it for awhile and didn,t make it back to the booth. I'm glad to see that it is working well. Can you tell me how sensitive it is. I'm wondering if it's going to constantly come on as you drive down the road and you fixed objects or cars

Pretty interesting link....

They even sell "just" the light strip/motion sensor bar without their tread.

I'd imagine there's an on/off switch to keep it from coming on down the road, but no mention on the site.
