Safe-T-Plus Stabilizer

Just bought a 2014 Tiffin Allegro RED (diesel) after having three 36' gas coaches. The RED's steering seemed loose and all over the road. Pulling our toad in wind was very tricky. On our last trip I called Bob Tiffin as we were going down the road and explained our dilemma. He said that he had heard of a few issues with the shorter wheelbase. He then said that he was going to have a stabilizer shipped to my destination at no charge. (One reason I bought a Tiffin)
Had it installed (Bob paid the labor by the way) and the difference was very noticeable. Steering was much tighter and it took no effort to keep it tracking straight. On my way from the dealership I was rounding a blind curve on a narrow road with no shoulder when a car whipped out of a side street in my direction. I had to run off the road and then partially overcorrect to get back on the road. Did not feel out of control. I believe that the Safe-T-Plus saved my bacon! Scared the hell out of me but all's well that ends well. I would highly recommend the Safe-T-Plus needless to say.

I had one installed on our Excursion, I think it helps quite a bit as well.

Installed one a few years ago and the only complaint is when kinda falling in a daise on the freeway, look left and there is a big 18 wheeler a few inches away and never felt his pass. Like mine does as advertised.

We have one on our Bounder.

Not sure how it handled before as it was on the coach when we purchased it.

We put one on our 2014 Palazzo 36.1. Just put it on for safety but then it has outperformed with the overall driving!

Anybody have any experience with heavy duty rear shocks? I still have some rear end sway in wind and uneven roads. Was thinking about installing some Bilstein shocks.

If by rear end sway you feel "the tail wagging the dog" a rear trac bar will tighten up the chassis.

Replacing shocks is 4th on my priority list.
1. Safe T Plus Steering Stabilizer.
2. Rear track bar
3. Front and rear Anti-sway Bars

denchiro,

Happy to hear you are safe and well! As far as the Safe-T-Plus goes, it (by recommendation of our customers) is by far one of the most highly regarded items you can buy for your RV! I cannot tell you how many customers have mentioned similar stories to yours with countless thank you's to the SAFE-T-PLUS system!
