Just finished our 1st extended trip with our new sewer solution drain system. In short, I will never go back to the slinky hose. Some of the things worth a mention. - Drains both tanks quickly
- Self cleaning
- Very easy setup & storage
- Only cost about the same as 2 good slinky and the bridge support
If you don't want to take the leap to the more expensive systems I would suggest you try the S.S.

We have our Sewer Solution for about two years now and are very pleased with it.
Used stinky slinkys, and macerators in the past but the simple Sewer Solution has my vote too.

We have been using this for about 6 years and will not go back to the "other hoses" it has worked everywhere we have gone including when we were on a mountainside and the sewer system was definately uphill but still no problems with it. Any one thinking about changing isn't making a mistake!

Is "sewer solution drain system" the name of the system?
Pics? Pointers?

How many gallons of fresh water did you waste jet-pumping those tanks dry?
(I use a macerator when I have to, Almost all the advantages of the sewer solution (I do have to hook up a flush hose to clean it, that's all) but it only "Wastes" about a gallon of water flushing the hose out. does the rest on battery power.
What you going to do if there is no fresh water under pressure handy?
(me, batteries always handy)

You can see the Sewer Solution HERE.
I've used one since 2000. I would still be using the original one, too, if I hadn't run over it last year.
The sewer solution is very durable, and there's no mess. It's only about 1/3 the cost of a macerator.

I've been using the SS for 10 years and it works great. Easy to store as well as pretty much self cleaning. Costs far less than most macerators.
By the way, most of the water is eventually returned to the enviroment after processing (according to my ex-wife who was a waste treatment plant operator).
I still keep a stinky slinky for times when and where I need to use a dump station.
Speaking of the stinky slinky, twice in the last two months I have observed someone flushing out their slinky by holding it up to the drinking water tap at their site. I happened to be close to one of them at the time, so I asked him if he thought that was a good idea to have that hose up against the drinking water source. He ignored me, so I continued on my way.

"What you going to do if there is no fresh water under pressure handy?"
Probably deal with the situation in the same manner as you would if the macerator motor malfunctioned..

I have mine valved into the outside shower.and sometimes run it off my fresh water tank. I use approx 3 gallons of water to dump and clean with this arrangment.
We use this setup at the shop and at dump stations where no city water hookup is available.
We are on the road between 4 and 6 months out of the year with an average of 20,000 miles per year and haven't had a lack of water issue when dumping.

That's the reason I always carry a spray bottle with diluted bleach solution to spray the spigot before I hook up my water hose.

Sounds reasonable, but I have been in places where the water pump failed so there was no fresh water to run the jet pump
I've yet to have a macerator fail.

I carry a stinky slinky to use where there is no convenient water hookup such as at some dump stations. Most dump stations have water available for rinsing, but it is sometimes inconvenient to hook up a hose to the water source.
