I'm looking at putting slide toppers on my TT. There are two major brands on the market (Carefree and Dometic) and would appreciate any feedback (Pros and Cons) anyone would have on either brand.
My awing is an electric Dometic but with the toppers, I want to make sure I get the one with the best bang for the buck.
Thanks everyone.

I would go with Dometic. They give excellent customer support. Good luck & God bless!

I did not install myself. I had Camping World put them on. They charged me 81 an awning and was worth the money. If they messed up it is on them. If I mess up putting them on, then it is on me.

I just got a price of $1450 to supply and install two toppers on my TT. Dometic is the brand. Seems steep?

Seems high to me. Check Camping World if you have one close. Also, Good Sam members get their president's discount.

I'm always seeing people recommending Dometic slide toppers over Carefree but no one really says exactly why. Why are Dometics so much better than Carefree toppers? I'm looking for specifics like Dometic lasts x number of times longer, the fabric doesn't leak, or is easier to use.

Its kinda sorta like the Ford and Chevy thing. The Chevy is just better!

Ha! Except the little fact of GM begging congress for money and going bankrupt.....

I would like to know what the likes and dislikes between Carefree and the Dometic slide toppers are.
