I recently ordered the Silent Partner from SMI and due to time constraints I had my local Winnebago dealer install it. Since the coach has been in and out of the service department,(another story...LOL),today was the first day I had the chance to try the system out...ONCE I reinstalled the coach portion of the system myself, the system works flawlessly...It does require some "permanent" mounting of the compressor unit in the toad and a "T" installed in your brake vacuum line, but when you're ready to tow,all you do is hook up and flip a toggle switch....

I might also add that,on a SATURDAY afternoon,I called the 800 number for SMI and the recording gave me a direct dial number for whom I figured was going to be a tech....NOPE!! None other than Peter the founder of SMI himself...
He would give me something to fix and told me to go correct it and call him back....I did this several times as I had to completely relocate the sending unit in the coach.

SMI's tech support is second to none.....They will get my business for a long time.

I might add in closing they are an iRV2 sponsor as well!!

Just wanted to add to your post. I installed the Silent Partner last summer and really like how its operates. I have a Saturn Vue which requires the pulling of a fuse, I modified with a toggle switch which cuts the ignition and at the same time activates the Silent Partner. Everything is out of the way and does not inhibit normal use of the Saturn nor my coach. Just hook up, throw the switch and go!!

It's good to hear manufacturer's providing great service. Sounds like they not only make good product, but know the value of good customer service as well.
