We bought a 2000s model which I installed and my wife gave a test run. I was busy in the house when she said it just kept going around. I said I'd check it later. After arriving in NM alone, I put a load in to try it. Indeed the selector just kept going around and not washing. I called Splendid and we worked out the fault codes to determine the problem.
The bad news is the warranty covers parts only. NO LABOR. This is the first new product I've ever bought that excludes labor. I bought it from CW and read all info on the site and there was no disclaimer stating warranty limits like that. I'll be in their faces to fix it when I'm in soon for a satelite dome.
So beware of this brand.

The rest of the story:
Called Camping World corp office and left message on machine. Got a call this a.m. asking if I read the warranty before installing. Ans. no. It's the first appliance I've ever bought that excludes labor. Short of story, they just erased their name from my list of retailers. I can buy elsewhere. BTW the person who called said there are several other suppliers who exclude labor from their warranties. HWH also does that. It's a sorry day when the consumer has to open the packaging in the store to read a warranty before buying a product but that seems to be what's necessary. If a product is used by the coach builder has such a warranty, like the levelers, then an extended warranty purchase is not just a peace of mind thing but a necessity.

Here's a different viewpoint. Warranty coverage is not free. The manufcturer has to estimate such things as failure rate, labor rate, part pricing, labor hours , etc and then cost that into the fianl selling price ( he must also price for the market but that's another story). So, for something so basic as the washer/dryer and easily repaired, I am happy to have him supply parts only (avoiding $100/hr service labor in the selling price) and lower the selling price. I had two failures on my Splendide in 7 yrs of heavy use. A belt and an electric solenoid for the cold water supply. I changed the belt easily and the dealer actually replaced the solenoid under the coaches manufacturer warranty but I could have done it easily as well. I purchased their extended warranty but never needed it.

eandy, it's probably the main computer board and it's a fairly easy job to replace. Splendide's are made in northern Italy and that same machine is private labeled under many different names. I
might be mistaken but I believe Bosch is made in this same factory.

I replaced the computer board in my former DP. Just take the back off, unplug computer board, plug in new one, reinstall back and you're finished. Put band aids on cut fingers.

Be happy it's not a Haier.

We bought the 2100 model at CW, had a problem, took it to their supplier (local) and it was repaired at no cost. Not sure about the difference, but we're quite happy with our unit and Splindid service in the Portland, OR area.
