For the last 4+ weeks I have been using a Crane SuperUSB Wifi (version 3) in a variety of places in the eastern USA. I am really impressed with how well this wifi radio works. I'm typically pulling in 6-10 additional wifi sources above and beyond what the built-in system on my HP can detect, and getting more bars on those that both detect. In one hilly campground that had 4 wifi stations set up to cover the entire park, I was getting all 4 with a usable signal on each!

The SuperUSB Wifi plugs to any USB port and installs its own USB driver. For extreme reception, you can pug it to two USB ports to increase power, but I have not yet had to do that. You don't need any extra wifi utility - the standard Windows (or Mac) wifi manager does fine.

Another feature of this device is the ease of setting it up. It comes with a 15 ft USB cord and multiple ways of placing the antenna/receiver: pair of suctions cups to stick it on a window (my favorite), a hole for hanging via a lanyard, and hook& loop.

I got mine from RVLedbulbs.com - they are giving a 15% discount if you enter the promo code AC15 at checkout.
