When looking to buy a Porta Potti, we learned that Thetford was the most respected name in the industry. So wanting only the most reliable product, we narrowed our search to Thetford products. Thetford makes porta potti's basically in small, medium, and large holding capacities. We learned that with the larger capacity potti's, is also a higher overall height.

We came across a deal on a Thetford 155. Although it was too tall to fit in the potti compartment of our camper, we bought it anyway because it had medium capacity (4.3 gallons) holding capability.

First camping trip to use this porta potti and we love it. No more need to get fully dressed to run to the restroom in the middle of the night or early cold mornings.

And clean out was quite simple too. Having previous experience with the holding tanks on a TT and MH, I found it quite easy to carry the 4.3 gallon tank to the rest room and dump it in the toilet. And cleaning it is so very easy too. Simply 1 gallon of water, and shake it for all you're worth. Dump again in the toilet. No more talking through an itty-bitty window to mama on the inside with the spray wand like on our TT....no more dirty hoses running through the kitchen window like on our MH. Just me, all alone, taking a leisurely walk to the restroom with the holding tank in hand.

There is a small model (135) with a 2.3-gallon holding tank, a large model (565) with 6.1 gallon holding tank, and a large-luxury model which features electric (battery power) flush.

I hope this review helps someone make a decision.

George
