We were all set to buy the Doran 360 but looked into the Tire-SafeGuard stem mount system and now have more questions than answers. It seems that the Doran is more popular but the Tire-Safe has the ability to monitor heat and tire pressure plus one can air a tire without removing the sensor. Also, it costs less. I'm not sure why there is more talk/interest in the Doran. I checked both companies web sites and the Doran has better information. It looks like the Tire-Safe is somewhat bigger and may be more difficult to mount on a stem. But, we really like being able to air a tire without removing the sensor and monitor the heat. Any help will be appreciated.

It's my opinion that Doran is just much better marketed. They are advertised everywhere. However when I shopping for a system the main reason I went with TSG was the sensors. Being able to air up the tires without having to remove the sensors was huge for me. It is the removing and replaceing the sensors that leads to the little gaskets in the sensors failing.

The negative things I have heard about Doran are the leaks, and eventual low pressure alarm. I don't believe that it is epidemic, just a symptom of that kind of sensor. The flow thru sensor has worked great, and I have never had to remove them after I put them on. As for the size, that has not been an issue either. I screwed them on, checked the pressures and forgot them. The read out is easy to see for both the toad and the RV. The display shows all the tires, and rotates the display showing the pressures.

I don't believe that there is a whole lot differences in the way that the individual systems transmit information, so there is not a lot of differences there. Ultimately it is up to you. Good luck!
