At the last campground, my car was the target of falling pine tree sap. The sap looks and feels like clear glue.

Found an internet page that suggested Deep Woods Off to remove the sap. It works with little effort and completely removed the sap.

I don't know if the 25% Deet or the inert ingredients was the removing agent. I just know it works.

I have found WD40 to be one of the best solvent cleaners.

Phrog Driver,

Thanks for the heads up on the Deet, great idea. I have used WD - 40 also, works to remove many marks and stains. Rode a Phrog one time or another.

The best solvent for pine tree sap is isopropyl alcohol - available in drug stores for around $1/pint. I got this tip from a friend who is a research chemist - it works!

All good solutions...but my solution drives off the mosquitoes while I am working on the pine sap.

Any kind of oil will do the trick... I use Salad oil (in case I get hungry)
