Has anyone had experience with a GPS that has been designed primarily for use by truckers? i.e. Cobra7700...............Seems that they offer a lot for RV folks as well.
In particular I am having difficulty finding info on the POI's available and whether or not they are truck only oriented. 7" screen is good as are lane orientation, voice activation, bluetooth function, etc.
User input is the bottom line..................... so
Thanks,
Gary

No, it's a TRUCKERS GPS not a tourist GPS.

It has a large Food atlas, fuel, and many other points of interest, the only thing it does not have is tourist attractions, we have other resources for that, here is a link, it is a good confident feeling using this GPS with a 45 ft Rig that stands 13' 6" tall, G

If I were you I'd thoroughly research these "Trucker Units". Although the posts here gave positive results, if you go to some of the Trucker forums, the Rand McNally forum, as well as read the reviews on Amazon and other web sites many of these units are getting very poor reviews. Two out of three said they'd returned them due to poor performance. Seems the biggest complaint was after setting the height, weight etc. the device would route them the wrong way. Apparently they haven't kept up with the low clearances, narrow roads, etc.
