Truma On-Demand Water Heater

Just watched this review of my Truma On-Demand water heater and was impressed. Guy in video says he measured the propane consumption very accurately where the water heater was the only thing consuming propane for a month and it used 1/4 of a 40 gallon tank in a month. And that was using the hot water liberally according to the review. We only used ours a few days as that's all we've owned the RV for, and it worked very well, much like he describes it in this video.

We've had our Truma AquaGo for 3 years and have been full time. It is as frugal as described. It has two operating modes "Eco" (economy) and "Comfort" (which preheats a small amount of water to decrease the initial lag time until hot water shows up at the faucet. We use Comfort ... it really does make hot water show up faster and the modest increase in propane consumption is negligible. I will tell you that Comfort setting is accompanied by a very slight noise as the burner asks for a small amount of propane now and then ... some are bothered by this, some are not. On the Economy setting there is ZERO noise, so you'll just have to decide for yourself.

Well I think in the video, he recommends to leave it Eco mode until the demand happens. Anticipate prior to shower or dishwashing, then switch to Comfort.
