At the dog shows many of the people have a light that is in a tube. It appears to be fluorescent, has to have electricity and to turn it off, you push it in and to turn on, they pull it up. It gives off ALOT of light and sits on a 3 legged stand. I have been trying to find it online and at the HOme Depot site but to no avail.
Does anyone know what they are called and where to find one? They are VERY popular at the dog shows!
Thanks for any information!

Karen...
Is there a chance you have a picture of one (even in the background of a picture from the dog show?)

I've seen them in person at our local Home Depot, in the 'work light' section (all kinds of lights on tripods, but mostly halogin which put off a lot of heat and are not omnidirectional). Around $50 I think; I thought they looked pretty useful for area lighting, but perhaps not so much for spot lighting which I am more interested in.

Well, probably a tri-pod mounted, Flourescent, tube style work light like being sold here on eBAY. There are various brands of this type light.

"30 watt fluorescent light with cable. Dual switches, top bumper protector, outlet in handle, metal tri-pod stand, and heavy duty blow mold carrying case"

Thank you to everyone!! Home Depot carries them and they are made by Huffy. They really put out alot of light which is great when you arrive at the dog show after dark and have to set up!
Thank you again for all the assistance!

Karen,

If you nicely ask the folks at the dog shows, will they not tell you where they got theirs? Unless it's some top secret item that the general public is not allowed to know about.
