I have the older system, the 510 but love it. "Peace of mind" Used to always worry a tire may be low and not know it and it would result in a blow out and damage.

I had the Hella TC-400 on the back two truck tires and four 5er tires. It said "not for trailers", but it still worked with proper placement of the receiver. They were also internal sensors, so they went with the trailer. Traded in the monitor to TST for a 15% discount on the 507. Love it. Nice size monitor and a beep that I can hear. The Hella was outside my hearing range.

I'd advise doing that as well but for another reason. I left mine on throughout a full calender year of camping and when I tried to pull them off to top off the pressure I found all but one was seized onto the valve stems. I had to have a tire shop cut them off which meant the tires had to be dismounted and remounted and balanced to replace the valve stems to the tune of $250.00. Needless to say, Dan and I are no longer on speaking terms.

TST seems to do well when everything is working for them, But they are lacking in customer service when issues arise or effort is required on their part.

I two am disappointed.

Things must have changed, as earlier post say they have great CS. Maybe people were taking advantage of it.

After a year, I have had good luck with the 507s. I messed up a sensor - I didn't recognize the rubber seal came out and 'fixed it for 2 hours until it didn't work anymore'. I told TST what I did and they sent me a replacement even though it was my fault.
I run the 507s along with the 'Crossfire' on the Dualies. This combo works well and makes tire pressure maintenance easy. I haven’t had one fuse to the stem, but I take them off for the winter. Maybe salt is causing corrosion? Maybe a spot of lubricant would prevent this?

I switched over to the Crossfire as well. A really great product so far.

If you use any compound on the TST sensors you void the warranty. I was accused of using Loctite on mine

I had too many sensor failures to bother with a system like that anymore

They tell you to use a little anti-seize on the sides of the threads. I forgot when I put mine on. No salt and very little rain in AZ.

Interesting? How long ago did you purchase your system?

I was told that mine was not the only case where this had happened so perhaps they acknowledge they have an issue with the metal they are using. My manual did say no to put anything on the threads and I bought mine in late 2009

I can't find it now, but I thought I read on their site that it was ok to use a little blue loctite.
