I just discovered a new product and then found an item to use it with.

I'm getting part of the body fixed and I was speaking with the body man...asked about cleaning the MH. He showed me what he used and then demonstrated it. WOW!!!

Just put a little on a cloth and start rubbing and it just cleans the heck out of it. The striping on the coach has cracks in it and he rubbed over that. They didn't totally disappear; however, what a difference!

So, I wrote down the name and searched the internet and found it. The body man said a quart could do the whole MH, so I bought a quart...plan on using it on the car as well. It's called 3M Protect-It III Rubbing Compound. Of course you have to wax it afterward, but what a shine!!

Now, doing this would take me a month to do so I was at Wal*Mart and my DW saw just the ticket. A 10" orbital buffer for only $20. It is battery-operated (comes with two). It takes about 3 hours to charge; however, much to my surprise, both batteries were already fully charged. And...it's not noisy at all. But the best of all was the price.

Hello George,

Did you find that buffer at Wal-Mart in Sonora? Also, how heavy is it?

Thanks,
Paul

No, not at WalMart...didn't even look there. I went on the Internet and it came up under an auto body shop. Not sure of the weight. It just says 1 quart. They also sell it by the gallon.

I bought it before I bought the buffer....

BTW, this rubbing compound is NOT like that Turtle stuff. This is liquid and doesn't have grit in it. It's as smooth as talc powder.
