Had this mysterious black box given to me by a golf course via my work (long story) and am wondering if anyone has ever used one. My first thought is scam, dangerous, waste of time ...etc. It's a cheap looking affair about 5" wide x 4" deep x 3" high and has a power on/ sweep dial on the front and a frequency dial that has pictures of a rat, bird, insect and goes from high-pitched to inaudible in that order. Runs on ac adapter.
Sound familiar? Before I toss it I thought I'd solicate testimonials ie "The pest out changed my life ....lazy husband is gone...rotten kids gone..full timin alone!" Hey ...this could be the next furbie!

I wonder if it works on the In-Laws?

Hey Paul, be glad to test it for you before you throw it out. We've seen (but not had inside the rig) all of the items mentioned on the settings! Including the In-Laws mentioned by Lucky!

Tania wants to know if it has a snore setting also?

So far I've left it at work ....found out my boss is super sensitive to high pitched sounds
(rat setting).
Might have to take in the 5th next weekend. I guess if the wiener dogs all show up at my door at once I'll be ready

Dont know if its the same thing, but I always thought these things were a joke, but my brother brought a wall mount type to work, sort of like a
night lite, and we plugged it near a window in the
garage that Always has cobwebs and such. Since it has been there for about a month, no webs, nothing. Im almost starting to believe the thing
works. They had them in 4 packs at Costco. Strangest thing is that three of them are so quiet
I cant hear them 3 ft away, but the 4th you can hear somewhat.

I have never seen one of these devices be effective. I am in the pest control industry, and they are NOT advertised in the trade magazines if that makes any difference. If indeed they did work as advertised, they would be a standard in the industry. JMHO.–

Every year I had mice build a winter home somewhere in my motorcycle. I put one of these things in the garage 2 years ago and haven't had a mouse move in since. I had a problem with bats getting into my attic. Put on up there last fall. No bats this winter.

I've always put one in my RV over the winter. Never had any mice in it or spiders. Over the summer I don't put it in there and during the camping season have notice that I do get spidrs in there. Starting this year, I'm leaving it in year round.

I'm convinced they work. I know I find it annoying to be in there when they're on.

My mother swears by the plug-in rodent repellent units. She buys them at Wal-mart and has them in her MH and her home here in WA state while she goes to AZ. Doesn't seem to bother her small dogs, but my DH wonders about my mothers sanity?!!!
