Well, we now have the Sewer Solution. Wating to fill the black tank enough to use it. I'll either order an extension for it, or make my own extension. Not hard to do as long as its a smooth interior reinforced line.
10' of hose coils up a lot smaller than the 3"!

I am always amazed with amount of 3" sewer hoses that are part of the initial campground set up, although most won't need to use them for several days. But there they are deteriorating in the sun. I use mine to dump then put it away. I can't remember the last time I bought a new sewer hose. It been years.

I've seen multiple reports that folks camped at the Grand Canyon get their sewer hoses destroyed by crows pecking holes in them. I also see no need to hook it up immediately when setting up camp --- unless I've arrived with a full tank.

We read often from those that want to take long, hot showers and their water heaters are never big enough. They think nothing of running up the costs for the campground, and therefore the prices for all. In order to waste that much water, the sewer will be used daily.

Yes, I'm guilty of setting up my sewer upon arrival. But there are considerations to be taken....
We are fulltimers.
I still work away from "Home" on occasion.
My wife does our laundry onboard.
Many times after a day in the field, a long hot shower is called for.
I have a water meter in line. It helps to remind me to change our filters and regenerate the softener at 2000 gallon intervals. We use approximately 180 gallons a week, based on 3 years of use. I don't think we're wasting water compared to most S&B owners.

1 inch PVC pipe and slip connectors work well. No need to glue - just press together.
Also 1 inch clear sch 40 PVC pipe - short piece at dump end makes for easy check on tank flush progress. About $7 for 6 inch long piece on Ebay.
Get 50 foot 3/4 inch garden hose at Harbor Freight for $20. With a hose bib PVC fitting and a 3/4 female hose repair coupling.

I also have the Sewer Solution and would never go back to the 3” hose. Works great and I find it much cleaner to use and store. I use it and put it away unless the DW is using the washing machine.
