The past year or so, DW has been "fanning herself" frequently and the midwest heat this summer hasn't been helping. It's gotten to a point where it interrupts her sleep and just makes it pretty miserable for her.

I hunted around for something which might help and came across these:

Walmart.com: Vornado Under-Cabinet Air Circulator: Home Improvement

I purchased two and mounted one on the side wall of our entertainment center next to the TV and the other directly above her head (next to the reading light) in bed.

They are two speed, 120v, and swivel to almost any angle but will fold back for storage or travel. She love them and it's been money well spent. Walmart just reduced the price to $32.

Vornado makes good products. We have one of their heaters, and it is very quiet and efficient. I'm sure the fan is, too.

I've been to WalMarts all over the country and have yet to see them on the shelves. I had to buy mine on line through them, but they have a pretty good "site to store" program where you can order it to a store near where you'll be and then pick it up or... they have free shipping to your stick house on many/most things.

RickO,

Thanks for the tip. I just ordered one to place behind my sat receiver compartment to cool the electronics (I just had one receiver burn out due to heat). I had been looking for a way to cool the compartment and this fan looks like it will fill the bill.

This should give you some serious air flow for cooling equipment. It's two speed and I'm guessing low will be plenty for you but you've got some reserve for when you "crank it up"!
