I don't know if anyone has tried these yet but I just installed the Oxygenics shower head in our coach and I got to tell ya's; it is a huge improvement in the shower. Cost me $43.00 bucks on E-Bay and it saves water as well. Our old showerhead provided nothing more then a trickle but was adequate to shower with. The new one actually has pressure and Ive no doubt will provide an invigorating shower when we finally get to use it....just running it impressed the heck out of me. Worth looking into!

I know there is a review on this product in here somewhere either by myself, Joe-k or islapp

I use various versions in the RV and both of our showers in the house. Awesome pressure and save water. Ya gotta love that!

Here are all the different versions --> Oxygenics Shower Heads & Wands

Are those the shower heads that you can't stop the flow while showering?
When dry camping, you want to use as little water as possible.

C&CR,
There is a twist valve on the handle that shuts the flow down to a trickle to keep the water temp the same. You can't shut it completely off, but the trickle (and it is a trickle) amount will not effect you that much. The water flow when the showere head is on full is 1.9 GPM. And the shower head delivery is to kill for!!!

Best,

John,

I've been toying with ordering one from RV Upgrades for the past year. Although our stock head gives a nice shower, I do spent a lot of time soaking it in vinegar (usually at least twice in a season) to keep the mineral deposits from clogging up the spray holes.

Now that you've put yours in, & knowing how much several of the PP's like theirs, I'm even closer to ordering one. I need to check with the group to ask how the mineral deposit issue is with the Oxy head.

P.S. I always check RVU 1st for items. I need Bill to add a "water thief" to his inventory to help me with those stripped & unthreaded spigots the OH state parks have at their fill stations.

Lori; if you're using a good inline water filter the deposits should be a non issue.
Either way you won't regret trying the Oxygenics; wish I would have found it a while ago!

John,

We've been playing "musical filters" on our coach since we got it, trying to find the right one that'll allow decent pressure yet good filtering. The one that came on it was so restrictive our pressure was HORRIBLE - it's a much publicized issue with Fleetwood units. There have been short spurts where we didn't even have a filter on because we were between buying. I know that's bad for the system & that's probably why I've had to do the vinegar thingy with the shower head.

A recent post on Yahoo Bounders states that the GAC10-N original filter has now been replaced by another that, from the sound of discussions, is much improved for pressure. I've got to get the new model from my dealer soon so we can put it in after we unwinterize later this month.

Thanks for the positive review on the Oxyg. I'll probably check out one of the PP's shower at Tionesta coming up. I want to see just how much different the spray is.
